The megaron B temple
The megaron 2 temple, built in local granite and schist, has a semi-circular rectangular shape that is 14.5 metres long, divided into three rooms originally covered by a sloping roof formed by wooden beams and boughs (fig. 1).
The back room contains a single ritual altar-fireplace in the shape of a nuraghe (fig. 2)
The temple is enclosed within a large temenos, an irregular-shaped perimeter with a bench along the entire internal perimeter, made of large river stones, onto which another two rectangular rooms look out: probably, in this space, rituals of worship took place, as shown by the several items found that prove people were present between the Late Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age (fig. 3).
