A bronze finger ring (measurements: width 0.3-0.4 cm; diam. 2.9 cm; thickness. 0.1 cm) was found in the archaeological excavation of the courtyard of the Nuraghic complex La Prisgiona (fig. 1), in the territory of Alghero, produced with the casting mould, hammering and engraving techniques.

The jewel consists of a thin band with superimposed ends. One extremity ends with a rounded tip, while the other is broken. The surface is decorated with an engraved zig zag pattern (fig. 2).

At the moment it is unique and has no comparison.

The artefact, dated to the IX-VIII centuries B.C., i.e. the beginning of the Iron Age, is exhibited at the National Archaeological Museum G.A. Sanna of Sassari.

In the area of Arzachena, albeit of a different type and history, the band ring decorated with a braided decoration (fig. 3) found in room N of Nuraghe Albucciu, and dated to a time span ranging between the sixteenth and eighth centuries B.C., should be noted.

Within the production section of Nuraghic ornaments on the island, a finger band ring found in the Nuraghic village of Costa Nighedda in Oliena (fig. 4) from the X-XII centuries B.C. is worthy of attention.
