Bronze brooch (from Puttu de Inza nuraghe in Bonorva)
There is a bronze brooch 15.5 cm long (fig. 2) found in the nuraghe at Puttu de Inza (fig. 1), on the Santa Lucia plain.
This is a multi-function ornamental item that could be used as a weapon, an ornament to fasten clothing or a hairpin.
The finding, which was fused, has a rectangular section stem. The sub-cylindrical pinhead has a neck decorated by three rings.
From a chronological point of view, based on the comparison with similar examples coming from other nuragic contexts on the island (figs 3, 4), it dates to the 12th-9th century B.C.
