The façade

The church of S. Nicola di Trullas has a façade divided into two parts by a cornice (fig. 1).

The upper part has small arches supported by semi-columns that end in robust corbels, decorated with engravings or relief work of floral, plant or abstract patterns (fig. 2).

There is a faux loggia with a dual lower cornice made from mushrooms and shells, that has dual archlets and ceramic bowls in the sails.

The portal is in the lower part, where the architrave is topped by a moon-shaped window designed by a raised curved support arch (fig. 4). The sails between the façade archlets host a total of four painted ceramic bowls.
